👋 Hey, it’s Filippos! Welcome to this issue of the Designary newsletter after a brief hiatus. If you are new here, I write about product design, AI, frameworks, career advice and advanced technical tips.
I haven’t been active here for a while, and for good reason.
The past year has been one of change and reflection. Not just for me, but also for many other designers, design leaders, and people in tech in general.
For the first time in many years, the content that I had created in the past felt stale, outdated.
Meanwhile, there were so many new things I wanted to talk about.
But things kept changing so quickly, and I needed some time to reflect, experiment, and learn.
I needed to redefine what it means to be a design leader.
I needed to redefine what it means to design in the age of AI.
I needed to redefine the designer’s role today and how they can stand out in a world where everyone has the tools to design.
And I’m finally at a place where I feel confident about sharing my thoughts openly, with conviction.
A new start
I’ve spent almost a full year experimenting with different workflows and tools. I’ve done this for my personal projects, with the teams I lead, and with teams I mentor.
I’ve also built in ways I never could before.
And I want to share every learning I’ve had here.

So this is a new start for Designary.
The purpose is the same as before: I want to help designers learn and evolve.
The lens is different:
How do we use AI effectively?
How do we adopt a builder’s mindset?
How can we tell what’s useful vs. simply a distraction?
How do we keep learning when every tool and workflow changes every few months?
This isn’t to say that the newsletter will be strictly focused on AI, but AI will be a core topic of conversation for 2026 and beyond.
I’m very excited to share everything I have learned this past year, and to keep experimenting and sharing with you all as I continue learning.
What a time to be a designer.
